Before you attend the interview i.e.,

are the skills that are required for doing that job. And
try to get some knowledge on that field as well as tools that you are going to
use after you get that job
If the time is very less to get all the skills, try at least to know the basics on the important skills and tools. Tools here referred to the software tools and hardware tools you are going to use on that job.

I recommend you to prepare regularly from the first year itself, so that you will get confidence to speak about the tools during the interview.
